Gail Von Sydow
Gail Von Sydow, 75, is an avid walker who had the mild® procedure a little over three years ago. Before mild®, Gail’s lower back pain reached an eight on a scale of zero to 10. She was beginning to slow down, and the activities she loved so much, such as walking, were becoming increasingly more difficult. Conservative pain management therapies no longer offered lasting relief, so after speaking with a friend who experienced similar symptoms, she had an MRI and discovered that she had lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) and was a candidate for the mild® procedure.
For Gail, the procedure was over quickly. Her incision was miniscule; she went home the same night; and she was out and walking the next day, already feeling relief. Over time, Gail’s back and leg pain faded and her mobility continued to improve as her treatment proved durable and lasting.
Gail resumed walking the hills in her neighborhood and has continued physical therapy and Pilates to help keep her active. She recommends the mild® procedure to family and friends, because three years after mild® enriched her quality of life, Gail is still doing the activities she loves.
